Digital Printmaking — Extended

Following the digital printmaking workshop I experimented further with ‘Hyper Connected World’, using colours that I associate with technology and the internet. I feel the internet can be a dark place and the impact it has on people is detrimental so I experimented with black, purple and red/pink. I created an overprint effect by layering the words and being playful with effects. I feel this successfully demonstrates the idea of information overload as the text becomes somewhat distorted and difficult to read.

Although I enjoyed experimenting on Photoshop, I feel I created these too early on in the project and began thinking too ahead of myself. However, the overlay effect and colour are elements that I think I will experiment with later to potentially demonstrate information overload in the final editorial.
